Thanked: 286I've tryed all the methods i found coticule with slurry then slowly dilute then i've finished on plain water, Works very well i then follow max 20 laps on chr.5. Good tecnique stropping and i can pass hht no probs. I was using to thicker slurry when i first started out with coticule then i'd go to plain water i could bearly get my edge to shave . Now i no its down to keeping slurry at the right consistantcy. Also i have used bbw slurry yellow water works great for maintaining a good edge or improving an edge of coti if not succesful. I've tryed bevel setting dmt1200 bbw/coti it does work but i find the edge can be a little harsh from dmt. I do think it would work realy well with naniwa 1k coti slurry dilute bbw s dilute then coti with water 15 laps cr. oxide optional or skip blue theres loads of ways you have to try them.
It takes more patience with the coticules but the end result can realy be worth it thats what i find as for dry honing or the double bevel it just does'nt apeal to me. I may try dry coticule as finishing after water to see what i think.
