I did the test without stropping and then experimented with the different strops to see any changes.

I think that no stropping accepted this challenge.

P.S. Unless you count the palm stropping before looking at it under the scope....

I've told countless newbies who are wanting to learn to hone that they need to do this test. I've always stressed the 'Off the Hone' shave; the 'Off the Cloth' shave and then the 'Off the Leather' shave.

This really shows what's happening during the process.
