This is what happens when you OT.
Speaking of which, is anyone having issues with Tapatalk and the forum? Can’t seem to connect and it is SUPER annoying. Almost as annoying as OT posts.

Wow, talk about lost in translation...
Easy Mr Wildman, no harm intended, it was just a bit of a friendly banter.
Technically Utopian went Off Topic, you went back on topic, then he understood it the wrong way and the thread nearly took a very wrong turn. I was just playing around. Sorry if it sounded offensive in any way, I certainly didnt mean it.

Thanked: 101I have a beard just because I don't care to shave. Mainly in the winter when my face gets really dry & shaving makes it sore no matter what I use to combat that problem. That said I love straight razors & honing them & when I DO shave I always use a straight. That said I have been having a discussion on a FB razor honing page with a guy who sets his bevels with a 400 grit hone. I guess that works but the work to get the scratches from that coarse of a stone just seems counter productive to me. Am I crazy?? I think I will no longer post on that page & this guy does have a beard. He makes some nice looking scales & I suppose his blade work is good also. I guess I should just give up honing because I just don't know how & don't use the correct equipment.

oh no no no no no please stoooop it!!!! i just saw the first video for the first time.. i managed to watch the first 5 strokes.. and had to stop it... it hurts my ears, my ejes and my love for razors...
man, really that poor razor
i will not see the rest of the video.. my times is too valuable for seeing this insult. really hope if a noob see that video realizes that it is absolutely impossible that's the right way to hone a razor.. i'm just so thankful to Lyn, Glenn and Sham for the great videos they have posted.. those were the videos that you guys recommended me to watch... and my frist steps...
but come on.. what he's doin.. even when i was a kid my dad and grandpa showed me to use a "molejon" stoneto sharpen a machete... WITH WATER!!!! how can he think he can hone a razor on a dry stone???
sad.. sad.. sad...honing my mind...

Nope, no harm, no foul. I'm not mad. I was just pretty corn-fused about what the hell was happening! Lol. Anyways . . . back to other good topics. Everyone enjoy their holiday weekends. I just got a razor in the mail today that has rust and I'll have it ready to shave with by tomorrow! Latah, playahs!

Hey Tc, I was in Olive Branch and Byhalia for Turkey Day. I was visiting my goddaughter and her kids. Thought of you!
Happy Thanksgiving Sir, the trip was great. BTW, if you're going east, forget about I-40, take 64. Great Harley road. Go to Corinth and up by Shiloh, Selmer-Savannah is too slow.
Cheers, Steve
