Thanked: 1I've got a six by 2 coticule. i get some pics up when i can. I just found this thread and it made me grab my coticule and look. i didn't realize that it was a natural combo i thought the back was slate but after looking at all these pics and lapping it to see the color it for sure is a blue. i'm excited. and i just happen to have a dull razor...

I've had this one for a while. It's very fast on slurry and slow with water.

Greetings, gents. Here are picks of my two coticules. The first stone is the top half of a Les Latneuses hybrid. The second is a combo stone. I don't know what vein it is from.

Well, I don't have anything to compare it to, but it gets the blade nice and sharp.
After some trial and error I have been using it with a light slurry after a synthetic 3k waterstone, finish on water, and then do some laps on chromium oxide. It was able to nicely refresh my W&B after 3 weeks of use with about 40 water laps, rinsing under the faucet every 10. It doesn't feel like a soft stone, but again I have nothing to compare it to.
