Interesting I picked up an old 7.1 x 1.5 glued combo.
I wonder what the thing is with the extra 1/8th ?? I have come across it before !!
7.1 works out at 180mm, but 6.1 doesn't come to a "neat" metric figure.
Maybe I'm being overly concerned with size but it is interesting.
    cheers M

I notice that most coticule stones have a simular appearence to the BBW just in a yellow color. Mine doesn't have the same patern at all, no visable garnets and such. I haven't found my loup yet (bugger hid from me) to get a closer look. Anyone else have the same looking stones?

Yours looks like a nice pale clear coticule. My 7.1inch glued combo has a couple of swirls in it and some veins in one end, it's a tan/mildly green colour.

I thought I'd show my 4 Belgian stones.

The big one is a 12inch X 4inch Vintage Natural Combination Coticule/Belgian Blue. Came with a custom made case.
It is the Largest Belgian Rock in use in the world. And Largest outside Belgiam period........
It has two bigger brothers...one coticule is used as a memorial to Allied forces who died in WWII and the other is in a Belgian Museum.

The next biggest is a 7.1 inch X 1.5inch Vintage Combo (bought from a guy who got it from an uncle, said he bought his razor stuff in about 1916 !!)

Other longish bout is a Modern Koscher Coticule from Rob Cellis via SRP BST

Lastly Rectangular Natural coticule/BBW bout from Rob Cellis via his site.

I have also shown the BBW side of the 3 combo hones. Notice how the 7.1 hone has a more red hue to it than the others.
