My first coticule, a 15 x 3.2cm glued combo, came free (!) with a 10 EUR crap razor:
Following that I bought a La Petite Blanche 20x6cm natural combo:
Then came the visit to Ardennes Coticule where I bought a small 3 x 12.5cm Les Latneuses:
AND I also picked up a few pieces of raw rock, one of which I turned into the following:
The usable part is about 14cm x 3.5-4.5cm. Clearly visible are traces of manganese and what I think is chlorite.
I have a few others but the above are the ones I actually use ...

Dear coti experts!
Can I use a CH12k slurry stone for a BBW and Coti glued combo? Its a bit pricey to buy a combi bout for the conti, so I would be happy if I could use the same for the CH12k and the coti too.

I didn't get an answer yet, so I post it here too:
Im about to buy a coti/bbw combo stone. If I will have the oppurtunity to choose from a lot, is there something I should look for? Are there some colors, veins, stripes, marks or something else that is a sign of better usability for a razor? Or it doesn't matter, and I will only know after I have purchased and used it.

I can't say precisely but I would think it wouldn't matter much. Of course one slurry stone might be better than another but being able to predict that in advance of using it would be something I couldn't do. I would think that for the intended purpose one would be about as good as another. You could always inquire of the seller whether he has an opinion.

I won't pretend to be an expert but that never stopped me from offering my opinion so ..... I think you could give it a try. The Ch12k is known to be a hard stone, probably harder than your coticule. If you do get a coticule slurry stone in the future try it both ways and see which works best for you.
You can also get a credit card sized 325 diamond plate and use it without fear of the grit from the plate mixing with your slurry. Not long ago I used a bbw slurry stone on a yellow coticule and was surprised to see a lot of purple slurry. IOW, the slurry seemed to come more from the slurry stone than from the coticule.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
