    12x4"?

Is this a paving slab? Did you need a second mortgage?

You should email Howard Schechter, the U.S. authority on Belgian Stones and ask his opinion on the value. Howard is a respected member here on SRP. His email, which is also on his website (theperfectedge.com) is: howardschechter@hotmail.com

If I were to guess, in U.S. dollars, I would say somewhere around $400. Currently, when available, Howard's website shows 8"x3" natural combos at $250 (I bought one from him last year and like it).

    Hi Bruno.
    I know...I know.....!
I had to buy it............In my paranoia I am/was thinking they must have the size wrong, but, I did ask the Lady "Is it really a foot long?" She said "Yes, it's bloody heavy too !"
It was a little more than my 125mmx30mm selected coticule!
    Obviously undervalued.

+1 the size is such an oddity it would have far more value as a single piece. Now, why dont you go ahead and break our hearts and let us know what it cost.

Ever heard the phrase "the whole is worth more than the sum of it's parts."?? I definitely think this applies here.

I'll give you twice what you paid for it!

No seriously, if I were in your shoes and contemplated selling it for needed funds, I'd either put it on Ebay with a reserve bid (this would decrease the chances of selling it, but eliminate the possibility that someone would buy it for a song and shoot you in the foot), ask Howard if he'd want to buy it for his collection, or sell it here.
