    Instead of an 8k?

    What are the differences?

This is becoming a murky subject.

With slurry it is an excellent 8k
With water only it s a GREAT finishing stone

With a coticule in my oppinion you have a continous range from 7k to 12+k and there is no need for anything else for finishing.
Or, if you like, probably a few passes on CrO2

If you're in the USA or Canada probably here. If you're in the EU maybe here. I still think you should start with a Norton 4/8.

+1 on the Coticule, but be warned, Howard at the perfect edge has raised his prices quite a bit. 255.00 for an 8x3
I can get them 40 dollars cheaper....

Can I use a "pocket" size and use circle strokes?

That is alot of coin and another vote for the 8k? "pocket" models shouldn't be that expensive.

I'm liking DMT's more lately for the speed but I like finishing on a Coticule.

Mine are all pocket size & work just fine.

    So many choices
