Thanked: 234Thanks for that, I never buy off ebay with out checking prices generally, but the sentiment is much appreciated.
I'm hoping the manufacturers will get back to me fairly swiftly RE including a slurry stone, I have a razor here just begging to be touched up!

Thanked: 202How to get it faster
Unless I go there this Friday you can not miss it, however at present I am interested in Charnley Forest hone and therefore it will have to wait.

Thanked: 3164Not necessarily - I don't suppose for one minute that they with-hold stones for so long just so they have something to sit on. They must make one run (they do sell lots of other slate products) and not repeat it until sold out.
The views round there are nice, but I wouldn't go with the express purpose in mind of picking up a hone without telephoning ahead first. Could be a bit disappointing!
Regards,
Neil

Thanked: 202Picking one up
I would not go just for that purpose. I am there quite often and picking one up woul be only by-product. It would cost me only to turn off the roundabout and drive in about 50 yards. Advantage would be if they are in I can chose one I like which can be advantage with natural stone. but as I have said at present I am looking to get different natural hone. Hopefully I can afford it.
