    Those stones really look like they're thuringian, not like a synthetic hone that I associate with barber hones.

    do you think this a good stone for someone just wanting to keep a previously sharp(lynn honed) razor in shaving shape...and not do full honing.

    I wouldn't use a hone on one Lynn has already done. You'll change the bevel angle or could and that would undo what he's already done. A treated strop with green chromium and then a regular strop should keep it going a long time. When it gets to the point that it doesn't work send it back to Lynn. You'll get probably 8 months use that way before honing is needed again.

    If you ask Lynn whether or not he taped it, then you can safely hone it yourself, when needed, without changing the bevel angle.

    Just get a good barbers hone and you can maintain Lynns edge indefinately.
