    that's enough to concern me, but it only says don't wash the stone with soap or detergnet because it may harm the stone. I have a feeling the issue is heavy chemicals in the detergent or say dish soap, which wouldn't nec be an issue with highquality shave soap lather. Also washing with soap implies scrubbing hard with detergents. Again, different dynamic from shaving with high quality lather.

    I tend to lap lightly on dmt after each use anyway, so there shouldn't be any creeping issue with residue sitting there. But this does still make me think twice.
