Confused on the honing forum
Hi,
Generally confused now on what topics go in each subforum on honing...
do we really need any subforums here?

I want know why the classic shaving add is half pasted over this thread? At least on my computer it is....
Nevermind, it fixed itself, but it does that a lot.
I'm not sure what they're doing with the forums now. I still can't find stuff in the WIKI from the last upgrade....We have assumed control !

Thanked: 25...
I'm with you, a little too organized imo. Even the way it was before. Just a plain ole honing forum would be great. But no matter how I have to get to the posts, I love it the forum.

Not long ago I think it was Gugi that posted something like most honing topics ought to be considered advanced ?
I kind of like the idea of a sub forum devoted to the rocks and another devoted to their use.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I used to think that while all progress was change, not all change was progress. MY thinking has been sophisticated by my work environ and watching things as simple and basic as roadway upgrades being done to accomodate greater traffic loads. In a recent remodel up north here a mixed-up interchange was reworked and now to go east you lean to the west and vice-versa for going the other direction. I now have come to believe change is good, period. Oh, the change may not be intuitive, but as with the many things that are dreamt up and instituted by finer minds than ours; we may not understand the change, but as I now know, it is good.

Which is why God made apples and oranges. It is one of my most valued threads within the 65 I've subscribed to thus far. For those of us who love the rocks regardless of their characteristics that is completely understandable.
I know where you're coming from and that is fine too. As my grandmother was fond of saying, "Handsome is as handsome does." So I comprehend the 'where the rubber meets the road' point of view and respect that as well. Certainly the majority of members are in that camp I would guess.,Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
