    Frowns are the absolute PITA, I have one now that I have been dealing with all day! Cant seem to get that little bit thats left to come out and I dont want to re breadknife the blasted thing!

    Far be it from me to advise one who has taught me, but I have a way of dealing with this that I like.

    It's not just honing it out...you'll need to reset the bevel, but it isn't breadknifing either.

    On a DMT 325, I do a kind of rolling X stroke except that I hold the blade at about a 45 degree angle to the hone rather than flat on the hone. I also give it some pressure. The rolling motion seems to put pressure on the toe and heel, and the higher angle increasing the force of the grind.

    The result isn't a crude, breadknifed edge, but one that feels a little sharp but does need a bevel set. I find the bevel sets pretty easily on the half-dozen I've done this way.

    I'm just a beginner here, and so there is likely a better way and you likely already thought of this, tried it, and know why it's a bad idea

    Yep that's where I was too when I honed my Puma with the frown LOL
