I get the time check after 1 hour..Women are not happy unless you are attached to the end of the couch next to them..Or working on things they want dne around the house..

I told the Woman that i hated saving (which i did) and so i made a hobby out of it when i started using a straight razor. shaving is like the testing part to my hobby, and if i couldn't do it this way i wouldn't shave at all.
Perhaps convincing her to use a straight on her legs could solve this issue?
Imagine a straight razor could really spice up a marriage!
But seriously, relationships of any kind takes an investment of time in order to function, sacrifice for your wife even when it hurts, you wont be sorry. like the Bible says "a man who loves his wife, loves himself"... and Love is sacrificial.Last edited by 111Nathaniel; 02-22-2011 at 01:42 PM.

As a Police Officer... I wished more blokes would listen to such
wise words.
As to the horse... everybody knows they don't have thumbs.
But has one tried to strop on the hide of a standing horse.

Thanked: 335What would she rather you did or is it just that you were taking too long at one task? Women seem to be time oriented. I heard a comment from an automobile designer that answers to some sort of study indicated that women drivers would prefer a clock, rather than a speedometer, in the center of the dash instrument cluster.

I must watch what I say as my wife is a member here, but in all reality we have set a series of checks and balances when it comes to my hobbies and everything else. Basically what I have done is for every five razors I hone I touch up one of hers or for every ten(ish) flyrods I build, I build one for her. The lesson here is to get her interested. I truly enjoy honing, but if I ever get to the point where I don't have time to hone a razor it is simply a matter of having her do it. Though I never let her use the naturals.
In fact, I even get her to help at the meets. Last year she did the video work and this spring she is looking to cook!

She is actually very good to me and puts up with a lot! She was crocheting the whole time. My shop is in an old coal room in the basement and if I need to get away that is a good place. One of the reasons I hone upstairs in the living room is to be around people and be part of the houshold. Of the different things I do related to razors like sawing hammering etc. honing is one that is relativley clean and I can pick it up easily. I wonder what my sons girlfreind thinks of me. About everytime she sees me I am sharpening something by the door. Maybe I need a hobby that is more spectator freindly.
