    I have always used lighter fluid to get the tape residue off because it works well and I have it. Nail polish remover, like lighter fluid, contains naphtha and that will cut the glue residue easily. I've heard alcohol works too but don't use your Woodford Reserve.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    I keep a bottle of goo gone (if needed) under the sink. I usually don't. A little rubbing, and the residue is gone. Use good tape!
    I use Scotch Pro grade Super 33+ (at least I think I got all the words in.....)

    You guys can use whatever you want,,,

    But here is a small warning take it for what it's worth

    Strong Chemicals + Razor scales = Potential Disaster..

    Not always, not every time, but when you melt the pivot outta a prize razor your going to wish you hadn't used the chemicals..

    Naptha = Bad
    Acetone ie: fingernail polish = really bad
    Goo Gone = I haven't ever read the label

    Basically anything that makes yer head jerk back when you smell it, I would keep away from razor scales...

    Again they are your razors so you do what you want
