I tried this place for honing, before I was able to connect some of the posts here to him. His service was fast - as advertised but I didn't get the "True Honing". The edge was no better or worse from other people who do honing (vendors). I did NOT find that his edge was "sharper" than my others - just as good. I am not trying knock him nor promote him, just giving my experience... Your friend may get a serviceable edge which, off of the auction site, is not common.
