Thread: Beginners, The 1k shave . . .

OK Sir! I will as soon as I do the experiment! (which will be very soon)

Edit : to make sure that the scratches were genuine, I removed all tapes from my beaten up Kabeso and grounded some steel, then attached 2 layers of tape to totally reset the bevel, this way I was sure that whatever I get is the real 1k edge.

after the bevel was set I did some light x strokes, and then some super light circles to take off scratches as much as I can and super light strops to remove any bur.

I stropped on Steerhide strop and now my blade is shave ready (ready for me to shave with it that is! hehe).

I am meeting with someone tomorrow so it is probably wise to keep the test shave to the weekend just in case! or maybe I don't have enough patience and I will shave with it tomorrow morning!
