Update:

Gentlemen, first of all thank you for conducting this experiment. I learned a lot from it.
despite having a meeting today I could not resist the urge to try the blade I honed on 1k Norton. This razor also has some serious honewear (due to destructive testing, not normal use ;-) ) and this makes the edge cut even less effectively because the blade's angle on the hone is way too low (even with a few layers of tape). for this reason I was a bit concerned about how it would shave my face.
For my trip to the shave den, I took my Kabeso and another shave ready Dovo razor just in case.

I had noticed that the blade pulls a on my arm hair before severing them so I was expecting a painful and rough "shaving attempt". To my surprise the shave was not that bad (thanks for the TNT tip). The edge felt a little dull and after 2 passes (WTG, XTG) I had the same amount of shadow that I would normally have after one WTG pass. The blade did not scratch my face or give me any rash but I did not think the blade was sharp enough.

The biggest shortcoming of the blade is that did not shave closely.
