    Default Finally!

I am finally getting consistent results with my honing. Just had to share that. Honed up 4 razors this week and 3 gave fantastic shaves, 1 left to test. Should be 4 for 4.

Congrats on the honing success. It always feels nice shaving with a razor that you honed. Just remember to try not to smile to much while shaving or you might end up with half a lip.........from experience.

Congrats! The thing about honing is, the more times and different razors you hone, the better is keeps getting!

Yes, Congratulations. Shaving with a razor you honed is truly a satisfying experience. Cmon Man, Share the details. We love details. Pics are nice too.

I dont have access to the pic at work and I didnt take any after pics yet. But as for the stones I have been using Nani 1K, 5K, 8K, and 12K followed by SRD modular strop .5 micron spray on felt, roughed leather and premium leather. The razors were 1. Ontario Cutlary Barber Special that I got off ebay it had about a 1/16 chip in the edge that took forever to hone out. 2. W.R. Case and Sons that my mother-in-law gave me (it belonged to my wifes father) 3. Thistle Cut that my sister found and sent to me. 4. Hibbert Spencer Bartlett OVB shoulderless another one my sister found. And I had to do a touchup on my Henckles 415 that I messed up coughing and stropping so I went back to the 5K and started from there. I will try to get some after pics and do my best to be an enabler...
