The Norton works just fine but I would like to see what the fuss is all about when it comes to the other two. Anyone else own a Norton1k? What are your thoughts on its performance.
You soak it in water, and rub a razor on it. Chips disappear, the edge becomes even, and the bevel becomes matte-smooth.

So I went ahead and ordered a chosera 1k from a local seller. Looking forward to trying it. Will this stone work well with norton 4k-8k ? I am tempted to also get a naniwa 3-8.

You will be fine with that set, to be honest, I use those stones most of the time myself. I have various other stones, the 3k/8k Naniwa too, but the Norton is a bit less maintenance hungry. Both are nice, but you don't really need the nani if you have the Norton too.

The 1k Chosera is a very nice bevel setter, and will be a very good partner for your Norton.

I notice you're listing Montreal as location. I am myself in St-Hubert, South Shore. Do you mind telling me which local shop in Montreal you found your stone?

Google Paul's finest. He is a canadian retailer, and after ordering, to my surprise I realized he is based in Montreal.

    Thanks, found it.

He actually is selling one of these adjustable stone sink bridge. You may get away with a simple piece of wood but this is tops...

I use a plank over the sink. I got my chosera 1k by the way, and it is a fantastic stone.

Yeah, they are nice. I own a Naniwa SS 1k and wish I got the Chosera. Although the Nani works pretty well IMO..

I think I sense an early case of hone acquisition disorder.
