Default Brick honing. Don't try it!!!!

This brick honing is a load of crap! I tried it on a NOS Filarmonica 13 Doble Temple and it just ruined my razor. No chance of fixing it. What the heck is going on?

I just let it sit in the bathtub with the wife while she's in there. I've found that doing this allows the concrete block to absorb some of the Aloe Vera from her soap and makes for a smoother bevel. Then it's on to the brick for a final polish. Weathered bricks are finer in grit, so I spend a lot of time stealing them from older homes in the neighborhood. For final stropping I use my mother-in-law's leather couch, but I only do it when she's not home.
LMAO. No wonder you stopped using linen strops on such delicate edges .

Bricks require lapping just like stones. I wait until it is raining and then lap the bricks outside on my sidewalk.

I don't use the linen strops on blades coming off bricks. I use the seatbelts in my car. That reminds me that it is time to replace those.

I bet, in lieu of a brick, one could use an exterior wall with a stucco effect. Think of the surface area available!
    Just sayin...
