Just started with the Str8 razor life a few months ago, but I've been in Japan for 10 years. I actually live in Chiba, 10mins for Tokyo Disneyland.

Welcome! I live in central Tokyo very close to Ueno Park. If you are ever in the area and interested in having a beer or a coffee some time, let me know!

Thanks for the offer. I definitely will take you up on that.
I was just reading some of your posts, that is so awesome that you met and talked with the one strop maker in Japan. I actually got a vintage strop off of yahoo auction, but now I'm quite interested in getting my hands on a new one. I'm still a noob, but from what I've read it seems like I can't go wrong with a Kanayama. If you don't mind me asking,(and feel free not to respond) but how much did it set you back?

Naomi-san is definitely not set up for retail business, and isn't interested, so better not to publicly post that information. I am, however, open to getting together and will happily tell all. I'll PM you with my contact details.

I live down on the little island of Okinawa. Been here for the past 3 years. Great vacation spot for mainlanders.

Moved over to Tokyo at government expense for a Graduate degree a few months ago. Would be great to meet anyone here, maybe figure out where to hone my razors.

I'm in central Tokyo not far from Ueno, I'd be up for getting together. Also, I've got two nice J-nats that I hone on.

Let's see, never been to Japan but I really like Bento Boxes and one of my favorite authors is Haruki Murakami. And, very important, I like Japanese Western style straight razors.....don't look for me in Japan any time soon, I can barely afford to buy a pack of Pocky Sticks right now.
