Thanked: 26I was recently in the same situation, time for a new EDC blade, being in the UK and staying within our legal carry laws, i ended up with a TBS Boar non locking folder and i love it.

Thanked: 2284Welcome to SRP, I see this is your first post. That looks like a lovely blade. Being a wood guy, I love that curly birch handle.

Thanked: 26Thanks for the welcome, I was very tempted to get the Turkish Walnut scales, but im really pleased with the curly birch too.
another knife i was looking at just before i purchased the boar was this kershaw emerson cqc 4k. its pretty similar in design to what you are looking for, the blade is a little bigger though at about 3.2 inches, i had to pass up on it though as it has a frame lock.

Those Boar blades look really nice. I have been toting a Case Sodbuster Jr for about 39 years now. Not a bad track record for a knife available (today) for about $20. back in 1975 I think I paid about $6.

Thanked: 1184They may not have exactly what your looking for but I have found these knives the best I have ever owned. I started using them because they were made in the next town but they have a great reputation. I don't carry all the time but when I do it's not a folder.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I would mention a Knifemaker who uses hardened files for his blanks. Its made local in Michigan and its repurposed quality steel.

I thought you might like. Who says EDC cant be tough and functional. Price point is fair, and he also uses Burls which is right up your alley.

I have bought and used a lot of knives , I still carry my Case Stockman in my pocket , every time I go to get something different or get a lock blade .knife, it gets handed down to sons or grandsons ,, my stockman just does every thing I can think of , but if you like the locking blade , the Benchcraft is pretty good.
