Yeah. I know what you mean. For me, it's cleavers. Smaller sizes. MUST be razor-related, though!

I agree, sure looks like an Ulu, or I guess a European version. I have a couple used by the Eskimos. Used for skinning, fish cleaning, and even when eating meats they'd hold the meat in their teeth and slice off the bite with the ulu.

Thanked: 315So, any trouble shaving under your nose with that thing??
It does look similar to the Ulu blades. Most of them seem to be more rounded, but you never know how much use this blade has seen or how many times it was sharpened!
Thanks for the post.

Tom, If you're going to be hacking through bone and flesh, you need a Little 'Meat' to the 'Cleaver'.
Here's my little 'Meat it to Cleaver'
Just like Straight Razors/It's Personal Choice.
Since I don't cut meat professionally these days I rarely use my cleaver. I do like to use it to flatten pieces of meat and to use it to make 'cube steaks' and such. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

That is a big one, Roy! I use the smaller ones to slice and chop, smaller stuff. Sort of like a heavy razor.
Let gravity do the work!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
