So I sold my M390 EDC at the knifeshow saturday.
Luckily I was able to replace it with this little beauty:
A handmade linerlock folder with Damascus blade, Mokume bolsters and Mother of Pearl scales......I fell in love and the price was right so it HAD to come home with me.

When I was younger, I was in the boyscouts and was a big fan of Swiss Army knives. I was fascinated with all the tools they could cram in there. However, many of the tools are difficult to use or almost useless in the size necessary to fit the package. I lost my favorite Wenger knife ages ago and finally got around to looking for it. Found one and it's on the way! I am a big fan of the scissors, the spring would always snap off and render them crazy difficult. I am a little concerned that it is used, probably beat up, but ebay was the only place I could find that actually had one for sale. I'm sure someone on here will tell me of a place that is cheaper and they're unopened NOS...
Edit for posterity it is the "Pocket Tool Chest" model #16958Last edited by dinnermint; 05-05-2016 at 03:35 PM.

I've carried Bucks for years. The first thing I do is radius all the edges to soften the feel and reduce the silhouette. They don't ware holes in your pockets like OEM shape do.
The bottom 506 I carried 30+ years till the blade tip started creeping out from honing. Replaced it a few years ago after finding a NOS 506. Then I figured out how to file the choil so the blade would tuck back in deeper covering the tip. Wife likes it now.
The 500 for a heavier carry and had it automated. Tried to auto the 506 but could not find anyone that could do such a small knife with in rea$on.

I'll dig out my SAK Picnicker I used for trekking and traveling.Shave the Lather...

My EDC depends on what I'm up too and supplemental to the 506.
Opinel Carbon Blade No8 = carried hitching the Continent in the mid '60s
Spyderco Police aluminum handle = the car's carry
SAK Picnicker = backpacking/trekking/traveling carry - long lock blade for bread/cheese/meat + wine

They are legal in Kansas now too. I have been thinking about it for a while but haven't "pulled" the trigger. It's not that I don't think they are awesome, I just like a knife that I don't need two hands to close it with. Tell me I'm wrong, and I'll buy one tomorrow.

I'm not sure about auto's, but the two assisted open gerbers (Fast Draw and Fast draw mini) that I have owned are exceedingly easy to close one handed. I bought them specifically for single handed uses. Because whenever I need a knife, it's usually when my other had is occupied holding something. The mini isn't great, feels cheap, safety is a PITA, and the action isn't smooth. However, the regular sized fast draw is excellent, has some good kick to it coming out and easy to close. Great bang for the buck, I've converted quite a few co-workers to them and they come in a few styles.
