I was gifted this by a member who I offered to do some free work on a couple of razors. He works at the Case factory

He said that if I ever needed a knife to let him know and he could get me a sweet deal. My son happened to be looking for a new hunting knife. I picked this up for a fraction of the retail price.

Gets used a lot, at work. Haven't changed the blade for some time. I keep a stone at work for keeping it sharp
I have carried ones like these at work and the point for me is that the boss buys blades and I don't have to sharpen them.

Many are very thick and awkward to me in the pocket.

My favorite was a Gerber but it disappeared. I think it was sent in my uniform to get laundered.

I have since then turned my pockets inside out when I change!

What steel does your version use? I see there is some variety.

I don't care for holes in handles or blades because the thing they do best is collect junk even if it is just pocket lint.

Tim, I have no idea what steel is used in my version.
All I can tell you is I have had it for some years and it holds a really nice edge for quite a while.
Lint and junk have never been a problem. The knife is clipped onto the top inside of my front pocket.

The only pocket knife I will carry now has to be a "Lock-Back". I learned the hard way.

Problem at my shop, everyone has one. And were always out. Well....everyone else but me. I pick up the ones they leave laying on the floor, and counters. Then hone um back up. Only ever needs a few passes, and their back in business.

To myself an EDC should be practical and economical.

Maybe not the "best" or the best "show piece".

But it does what you want in a reliable manor at a reasonable cost.
