I was gifted this by a member who I offered to do some free work on a couple of razors. He works at the Case factory
He said that if I ever needed a knife to let him know and he could get me a sweet deal. My son happened to be looking for a new hunting knife. I picked this up for a fraction of the retail price.

I have carried ones like these at work and the point for me is that the boss buys blades and I don't have to sharpen them.
Many are very thick and awkward to me in the pocket.
My favorite was a Gerber but it disappeared. I think it was sent in my uniform to get laundered.
I have since then turned my pockets inside out when I change!

Tim, I have no idea what steel is used in my version.
All I can tell you is I have had it for some years and it holds a really nice edge for quite a while.
Lint and junk have never been a problem. The knife is clipped onto the top inside of my front pocket.

The only pocket knife I will carry now has to be a "Lock-Back". I learned the hard way.Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin

To myself an EDC should be practical and economical.
Maybe not the "best" or the best "show piece".
But it does what you want in a reliable manor at a reasonable cost.
