Thanx for this thread I'm enjoying this forum more and more every day. I was happy to find a thread about EDC knives!

My EDC is a Gerber AR 3.0 plain edge.

I really like it for EDC. Fits perfectly in my pocket, the clip is placed high on the knife which allows the knife to go deep in my pocket and not much of it is visible. Also a perfect grip in my hand Last but not least, the steal is relatively soft making it very easy to re-sharpen. I like that on an EDC knife is allows me to use the knife to things I know will dull the knife. It's definitely price-worthy

Of all the tactical folders I have Sog, Cold Steel, Spyderco, CRKT. I absolutely love the Crawford Kasper folder by CRKT that I bought a decade ago. I love it so much in fact, that I bought another two from e-bay nib, I was disheartened to see that it was discontinued from production. It may be a factory production knife with not so fancy steel or features, but I just love the feel of the thing.

A Czech Mikov with cocobolo scales. It was a kit knife. I had to shape and pin it all together myself and put an edge on the blade as they come with no edge whatsoever.

I have thought about one of these.

    Locking Liner Kits

I haven't tried their kits but have bought plain blades like these.
