lI have two stock whips, one that belonged to my late father, very fine plait, about 8'long an RM Williams, goes off like a 303, and my own redhide whip, not as well balanced as Dad's, he reckoned that his whip was not a patch on a Scobie he had back in the '20's.
Nothing funnier than a jackaroo with his whip caught under his horses tail !!
CheersKeep yo hoss well shod an yo powdah dry !

Thanked: 983If we do that I might have to give serious thought to making a few more just to pose.

Ya know its funny,I'm reading about this and while it can be a formidable weapon,when I was a kid my father and I would have Bullwhip "fights" just for fun,they hurt like hell,but we weren't trying to hurt each other,but we would get some shots in and boy,I remember those welts.....and those were fun times.

Believe me I know it sounds sick,but it was fun and you got to get one in on Dad and he couldnt get mad,it really was fun,I miss that old man.....
Oh yeah, we had bb gun fights also,and the amazing thing was that nobody got hurt badly,except that one shot I cought in the knuckel THAT one hurt.Last edited by Grizzley1; 07-19-2011 at 03:09 AM.

Thanked: 983We have a sport over here that is not too widely spread just yet, but seems to be catching on, called Whip boxing. The only protectection is your hat a pair of safety glasses and a Drizabone (Dustcoat or Slicker I think you yanks call them), you get to go hammer and tongs, but the whip must 'crack' for a hit to count (afaik).

Thanked: 5I think it is time for some pictures of some blades then. Here is my contribution.
* SOG Desert Dagger
* Cold Steel Mini Pal
* Some very sharp traditional Japanese Kamas
The kamas has made me bleed more than my straight razors so far but I am working on that
