My father gifted me these coming from a trip to Norway. I wouldn't call them combat knives unless your combating fish and elk. I love this set never the less and they are sharp as hell. Just wanted to share.

I have the SOG scuba demo. It is a replica of a knife issued to the CIA’s SOG (special operations group) during the Vietnam war. They were made in Seki Japan and didn’t have any markings. Only one of the original 39 knives survived. I haven’t been able to find a photo of original.

These pics aren’t mine, but are nicer than anything I’d be able to do.

Also really into Winkler Knives. I’m sure you guys will appreciate the craftsmanship of the blades and the scales. I’ll start a new thread though.

My brother in law was in MACV-SOG during Vietnam. Doing things we weren't supposed to in places we weren't supposed to be. Thank God for them & what they did!

I have the Vietnam Memorial one made in Seki Japan. I freaking love the feel of the knife. I've considered getting another to mess with - they sell one that doesn't have the leather handle that is considerably less expensive. But the leather just makes it for me. What I really need is one that's a bit smaller to edc. That would be awesome!

Wow, Freddie. That Randall is built right, as for a true fighting knife. Though I'd prefer a bit longer blade, and a bit of the tang poking out, for a better pommel.

I've had various Reeves, Randalls, Busses, Doziers, Striders etc etc but the fixed blade I reach for before every trip is my old 1095 Air Assault (Livesay).
