Still a couple of these around. What we have here is a no-nonsense fighting/outdoors/general utility knife from Robert Gardner in West Palm Beach, FL.

1095 clay hardened steel, 5 7/8" blade from 1/4" stock. Canvas micarta scales with a rough finish for better grip. Gardner also makes his own scabbards. Possibly the nicest bit of work I have seen for a scabbard. Even better than my Randall's. Pretty fair price too.

I suspect this one would come under the heading of "Combat Knife".

This is the Rasputing Bowie. I finished it sometime last week. The blade is an old Farriers Rasp and the guard and pommel from an old Nicholson file.
    Handle is Leather and Micarta.
    Blade is about 11" long.

Very nice. I like that you use another file as the guard. The different sides makes it something completely different.

Ka-Bar 1214. Why two? Two is one and one is none.

I figure I should throw up a bad pic of a pair that I made a couple of years ago.The larger one on the right qualifies as the "combat knife." It has a full tang 7 inch blade made from .207 CPM 3V, with black canvas Micarta scales, "chain bolt" fasteners (don't use them anymore) and the lanyard hole at the top of the ricasso like a "cutting comp" knife. This one actually ended up in a Spec Ops kydex lined nylon sheath, which is about the only brand of ballistic nylon "tactical" sheath that I have found that is worth a hoot IMO.

Thank you, sir. I made a number of slightly different versions of the smaller one from .175" CPM 3V that have slightly wider blades and flush ground medium Corby bolts. They are a little bit burlier. I have not finished another one like the big one since I made that piece back in like late 2012-early 2013.
