I didnt know if it was possible to or not. I've never used them. But I figured that at least the fine or extra fine ones could be. I wouldnt see any need to lap something that was coarse grit or something that was just used for knives, but still.
Eze-Lap Model M. A great sharpening tool; been using it ever since my dad gave it to me over thirty years ago.
I use a 1" wide belt sander with 600, 800, and 1000 grit belts and then strop with a leather belt that goes on the belt sander. Nothing is faster or produces a better edge in my opinion.
