Lynn has a video of lathering the SRD soap up on YouTube. Basically soak your brush, shake out most of the water. Load the soap onto the brush, add a little bit of water to the base end of the bristles shake the extra water out. Repeat loading and the addition of water until you have a good brush full of lather. Once you have lathered a few times it will be easier to judge the first round of loading to save a few steps.

Nicks in the strop, the razor will likely need a touch up.

BTW if you add your approximate location to your profile it will be easier to get local help.
