Many people say that the Kangaroo is very good, I have no personal experience with this leather. In answer to your question, I have found this article to be helpful.

I recommend the 3" to start with. Removes one of the variables if stropping doesn't go as smoothly as you expect.

Welcome to SRP Matt. I am a Floyd nut myself. Haven't missed a concert since Animals at the Angel Stadium.

Your kit looks perfect. As for a strop I would suggest the Paddle from SRD. Takes a lot of the learning curve out of it and leaves many options open for experimenting later on. Check it out and you'll see what I mean.

see ya on the dark side :<0)

It's supposed to be shave ready. I ordered it from a company overseas. I have my worries about it but if I have to ill buy another one but this time from SRD. And 10pups thanks for rubbing it in. I'd love to have seen them. Maybe one day. Keep the hope alive. I truly than everyone for the warm and nice welcome along with such great advice.

Don't worry about it...I was 14 and was bored out of my head and didn't understand a thing about the show...and I am filled with shame to admit that.
