Thread: Ohio Newbie Here

Hi Jake, I'm pretty new to straight shaving myself and just joined the forum although I've been researching through it for a few months prior to buying my own first razors/strops last month. I'm in the Springfield/Cedarville area. I bought a bunch of samples of aftershaves from MaggardRazors.com to settle on what I liked and you can have them all (the vast majority were never used and the couple I liked best I sprayed a couple of times until I got the full bottle, and am happy to refill them) as well as my starter badger brush & soap as soon as my nicer ones I ordered come in. I'm happy to meet you half-way in Dayton if you like and help you out in any other way I can.

Welcome from another cincinnatian. Live just north of Hamilton now. I too am new to SR. shaving actually had my first shave Friday and loved it. Only nicked myself once and not bad. I did a lot of research before I got my first razor which was a Christmas present. I bought new and bought a Dovo which I found to be a good razor. Did have to spend over the $100 though but hope it will last me a lifetime. Was too scared to buy a used one.

Welcome to SRP, and welcome to another Ohioan. I've never used the classifieds on here but I will tell you that this is the real deal. This site and everyone I've had the chance to talk with have been full of great information. We need to get more people from Ohio, tell your friends about the great shaves and get them interested.

that's a good idea. will have to check a map and see whats in the middle. i've never been to SRD though, maybe they would host us?
