Welcome from a fellow tanker. I understand about Hours of Service and 34 restarts. I'm often through CS from Houston to Calgary.
A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.

Good to know there is another crazy guy here that likes to drag a bomb around all day. We still go by a log BOOK, so no computer tracking me. I've been told there is a rule about 34 hrs. And something to do with 10 hrs off. Never seen it and dont believe in it. Ha. I drive local but dont get home every night. Run till you cant any more has been my rule for 34 years in a truck. Wouldnt know how to act if i had to stop and try to sleep more than 5 hrs.
BTW, local to us means 6 States. CO, WY, KS, OK, NM, UT. Most the time i do CO mountain stores. No sleeper truck (too much weight) so they put me in cheep motels if i have to stay out over night.
Keep it rollin driver!
And thanks for the welcome all!Last edited by Gasman; 12-01-2016 at 10:48 AM.
