Thanked: 0Hello from North Dakota
Hello,
My name is David, and I'm from a small town in North Dakota. I'm 24 years old and just beginning my adventure into straight razor shaving. It was terrifying to shave the first time, but I tried again today and felt a little more comfortable. Looking forward to learning the art of straight razor shaving from everyone here. Thanks.

Welcome to SRP!
I think starting out you'll find most shaves will tend to be a little better than the last. It feels really good the first time you manage a really smooth shave all over with no irritation or nicks.

It just takes time, put your location in your profile so guys who are close to you can assist you, I know we have a couple guys out that way, Benz ( Srp screen name)I know has been straight shaving longer than you have been alive, so could be a help to you, and make sure your razor is honed PROPERLY, so you can learn well. Good luck. Tc

Welcome from SE Washington State.
As has been said, if you could please include your town there in ND it will help with seeing if there is local help near by.
This age old art has a huge learning curve but once semi mastered is very rewarding!
It's a long strange trip but well worth the journey! Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.
