Welcome Rxman. One day when you get the art of using a straight razor, you will find you can't get a closer, smoother shave unless you have a straight along with your technique down. Just take your time & be patient. That day will come. Great to have you here.

Thanked: 0Pic
Obligatory Photo. Not much to look at but very functional. Is the slight curve of the blade indicative of original shape, or an exam of sharpening wear?

Yes, that is what would be considered a smiling blade.
Its seen the hone quite a few times, by the visable hone wear on the spine, and the bevel is hitting the stabilizer, and beginning to put a slight frown in the edge, but this can be remedied by reshaping the stabilizers.
But overall, nice razor.Mike
