Thanked: 0Hello from the Welsh Border
Hi,
I bought a couple of Dovo SR’s a few years ago and I haven’t really gotten around to using them properly. I have a Dovo Revisor and a Dovo Inox, both 5/8. Just looking to get some tips and advice and really start to enjoy using them.Matt

Hello Matt and welcome to SRP.
You're in the right place. All the help and advice you need is right here.
First and foremost, you have to make sure that your razors are "shave ready." Keep in mind that many manufacturers state that they are, but in reality they are far from it. The first order of business is to find a reputable honemeister in you area and have them checked and honed if needed.
Next, watch a ton of shaving videos. Lynn Abrams, our founder, has a learn to shave video that is an absolute must.
Be patient. Slow and steady win the race. While shaving, always take your time and stay in your comfort zone.
Keep at it and soon you'll be shaving like an old pro.
Enjoy your time here on the forum and have fun.

Hi and welcome aboard. A good place to start is getting those razors honed. Celticcrusader aka Jamie is probably a good bet. Once shave ready as said slow and steady and you will be fine. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed

Thanked: 4828Welcome. Shave ready is a must. The easiest way to get there is to send them out. There are a few guys around here that are from the UK that hone for others. Once that is done stropping and shaving can be learned.
