Hello and welcome to the Forum. It would be a good idea to put that old razor away for now. Learning this shaving technic takes some time. Shaving with a straight razor is only part of it. Hopefully there is a mentor near you that can help guide you through the process. in the mean time we are here to help you as much as we can. Ask all
the question you like and visit our library, it has answers to a lot of questions and the videos are most informative. Take it slow no one here is in a hurry.Freddie

Thanked: 1Hello
Thankyou for the welcome..
The old rasor is safe at least for the time being, as youve guesed my knowledge is (at present) somewhat limited, reading through the various topics i can see the passion involved.i like to think
Im ok with my hands so the restoration process interests me and the history too.
Id also like to own maybe a couple of really decent quality ones, again researching the topics here im sure would help in deciding.
Regarding a mentor........not quite sure what that would involve, shaving isnt discussed at work, but maybe ill bring the topic into the conversation when im out with reletives and see where that goes.
Thanks
Take it easy
