My condolences on your loss. Being kind of an old guy forum I think many if not most of us can relate. I know I can. I miss my dad a lot. Also I have a daughter of my own so I know what that father daughter relationship is like. It's a very special one and the story of you losing your dad makes me ache a little because of it His razors and other things I have from him are a reminder every time I use them.
As far as using the razors you certainly could. What a lot of people do when they're starting out is use the straight razor on the big wide patches of flat skin and use something else on the more tricky parts until they get more of the feel of handling and working with it. So you could always do that. That way it gives you that sense of connection to him. There's all kinds of things involved in using and maintaining the razors. Rabbit holes that you can fall down as we lovingly refer to them. I can assure you that you will find most anything you want to know in the annals of the library and the forum posts but even what you can't find already posted you can get answers to through questions from the members here. Feel free to ask and ye shall receive. I for one am always willing to answer questions. And if I don't know the answers I will help point you in the right direction.Last edited by PaulFLUS; 02-28-2020 at 04:14 PM.
