I had a fun conversation with a friend yesterday. His house needed work and was built in 04.

    Mine was built in 09......

    Welcome aboard, Woody.

I too, started with a straight when I was 17....I'm now 52, and plan to never put it down.

If you look around you'll find that we like to 'Show and Tell' about a great number of different topics. Things like clean jokes, what was for breakfast, smoke cooking and sausages etc.

I'm sure you'll find some of them interesting.

Welcome to SRP. Glad to meet you.

I think I fall into that old fart category. My son recently turned 46. Thankfully, I stopped counted 15 years ago.

Sounds like you’ll fit in just perfectly here.

We have only one stringent rule: if there isn’t a picture, it didn’t happen. Please include pics of your razors, stones, strops and anything else you’d like to show us.

Welcome, lots of info and passion here and not just for straights. I was surprised to find the main body of community here was so much older. I expected a bunch of hipsters and millennials, similar to some other well known forums and media sites. The group here is second to none and this is the best place for cumulative knowledge on straight razors, their use and their history that I have found.

Generousity and altruism abound here, if that’s your kind of jam you’ve found the right place.
