Thanked: 562Welcome.
What do you currently use to put an edge on your razor(s)?
If you post a photo of your razor with a close up view of the cutting edge, you will certainly get some feedback about how to make it more shave ready.David

Thanked: 1I have a 1000/3000 combo stone, a 10k stone and a strop. Not sure what brands the stones are they were inexpensive ones off of Amazon for my knives. I'd like to get a set specifically for my razors, but I'm gonna look at what you guys recommend first.

Welcome! Just a warning though, there are some members here that are what you might call "enablers"
Sounds like you'll fit right in, i've been bitten by the blacksmithing bug myself.

Welcome. Not sure whether to call you Walter or Mr. Wombat but welcome all the same.
There's plenty of information to draw from here in the annals but you also ask a question and people are always willing to help.
As far as stones there are lots to choose from. That's a rabbit hole all its own to fall down. That said a Norton combination set (600/1k, 4k/8k comb
and a flattening stone)is an inexpensive place to start for some decent quality stones that will last a long time. Among other vendors sharpeningsupplies.com carries them for a reasonable price and may have sales on the set. That will do everything you need up to finishing but that is a whole other rabbit hole. I'm sure some others will give suggestions that will help you part with your money which you can always do with stones. Still, for a couple of hundred you can get all you will need before you fall in head first.
