From one Fire Fighter to another, welcome to SRP. I hope you enjoy your stay here as much as I do. I can't comment on the package you are considering as I have not used or seen the components. I would suggest starting off inexpensive to be sure you like the extra concentration when shaving. I shave in the evening so I am not rushed, well most of the time.
If you are on a tight budget consider a shavette (straight razor type with disposable blades) just to get the feel for the process. If you stay with it the shavette can be used for a travel razor.
