The straight razor bug must be spreading like wildfire Down Under, it seems like we're getting lots of new members from Australia lately....

Glad to have you here, NZChris! All the info you'll need to get going again can be found here, so ask away.

    Default Another Newbie . . .

    Hello, NZCris:

    Welcome to Straight Razor Place.

In the world of wet shaving with the straight razor the perpetual learning process is part of the ritual. I continue to learn something with every shave. I look forward to that daily lesson.

Please peruse the Wiki for a wealth of information and tutorials. Beyond that, please post your questions and you'll have your answer in no time.

We're delighted to have you with us.

    Regards,
    Obie

    Well come buddy

One day we will have an Ozzy get together. We wont hold it against you being a kiwi and all

Kmart! Iv only found brushes in Woollies, IGA and Big W. The one from big W is with in acceptable for learning. Those little bore things suck, is that what you had?

Welcome aboard. Honing razors takes a bit a practice. You'll find plenty of info here, and of course we're here to help. I'd recommend picking up a cheap one on Ebay or possibly the classifieds here, and use it to practice honing.

    Welcome to SRP
Kmart's great. For $5 you can get a brush ,shave cream & get started but I think you'll prefer the badger brush
