Thread: Hello from Montreal

Hi all. I decided last year that I was done with tossing used Gilette blades all the time, so I started shopping for a straight. I ended up with something similar to a Shavette, which reduced the plastic landfill, but not the actual blade waste.

I think that I may have developed some bad habits from teaching myself to shave with that faux straight razor. Fortunately, a friend who knew I was straight shaving told me about this site, so here I am.

I also recently ordered an affordable Dovo Astrale, which has not yet arrived. Er, but since landing on this site, I have developed a certain yen for many, many different razors, none of which clock in at the same price point as the Dovo. Like, none.
