Thanked: 0Hello from Ottawa, Canada.
Hi everybody.
I've been lurking the site for a bit now, doing my best to soak up all the info.
Not much to say, probably a similar story to a lot of people around here. I've been interested in straight razor shaving for a few years now... at least since I received my first real shave at the barber's for a wedding, if not before.
I primarily appreciate straight razor shaving for its heritage in human history. That "something"/satisfaction you get of doing it the olden ways, and keeping that heritage alive. I'm also appreciating the smoothness and preciseness offered while shaving this way. Lastly, I'm starting to understand this "zen of shaving" and I like it.
So, thanks to everybody for this wonderful source of information, I hope some day I can help contribute to this wealth of knowledge.
