Stevieb,
If you plan to call in to Airlie Beach or Townsville, give me a call to visit the Whitsundays or the Great Barrier reef.

Thanked: 6Defo heading to whitsundays. Looks like I could be making a few stops along the way. Good excuse for an international meetup :-)

Thanked: 2well I have a nice Bengall full concave with fake ivory? or white? scales coming from a Gent named Cameron on one of the razor groups he is from NZ, all honed and stropped ready to go,
he is also throwing in a old nicked but still usable strop and a vintage brush of some sort, he also said he would throw in a soap that he doesn't have a need for to get me started
I am also the lucky winner of one of Whipped Dog's prize giveaways and am getting a 30mm black knot brush which is in the mail
so hopefully won't be too long before I can give slicing and dicing my hair or my face which ever happens first !!

A nice Bengall. They are great shavers and take a great edge. Keep that quiet though
I like them so much I now have four 6/8 Bengalls, planning to eventually build up a seven day set...

What do the numbers 5/8, 6/8, 11/16 mean in reference to razors?
This is the width of the blade in eighths of an inch, which is the main factor in how 'large' a razor feels. It is measured from the edge to generally the spine (some manufacturers measure to the inside of the spine, some to the outside).
