You, Sir, have an oven proof casserole. Lillian Vernon is a brand name of a merchandiser that sells via catalogs received in the mail (often un asked for).) You do not want to paint the interior. I would think any decent enamel based spray paint would work, check with the paint person in your local hardware store. I'm a great re-user of objects. I haunt my local Goodwill looking for items I can use for lather building. I also like to add texture to the interior like you see in commercial lather bowls/scuttles. I get an epoxy that will mix as you apply it and add dots or swirls on the bottom and vertical ridges on the interior side. Caution, sets up in a minute, hard to remove and must use sparingly or it just spreads out. Let dry 24 hrs and you are good to go.
