Sand off the old paint and rust and give it a shot of Rus-O-leam and see what happens?

TC,, that's a stock photo from the internet,,, they come in many sizes,,, some up to 2 feet, I believe. The one I use for brushes is about 1 foot.

Here's my 2 cents worth. It's called a "Jug Knot". Quick release and its adjustable to fit just about any brush.

Along similar lines, I have a Turkish Jaguar brush that was too big for my stands, so I attached it to a dowel with a leather thong using a slip knot.

I took the base off of wire brush stand and use magnet to hold it to mirror frame.

Necessity is truly the Mother of Invention. I'm inspired, thanks guys.

Those holders were on some type of a "wire brush stand" ?
