Thread: My Favorite Improvised Brush Drip Stand

Gentlemen,

I have yet to find the brush drip stand that I really liked. Except for this one. It's improvised and my favorite drip stand. The scuttle is Straight Razor Designs and the bowl Edwin Jagger. The set up works for all of my brushes, big and small. Good stuff.

Do you gentlemen have an improvised drip stand prefer?

It's probably not good for my brush but I shake my brush out and let it sit for about 6-8 hours bulb down in my scuttle. I'll have to try your trick out, Obie.

Not much dripping from mine as I whip them on a dry towel and shake them after use/rinsing.
However, I do like them to dry upside down, so I just store them that way. (Broom/mop holders )

Well, I tried Obies method. My brush handle fits well with the drain hole on my G12 scuttle. Counter space is limited so this is a simple, no extra space used solution. Thanks, Obie.

Gawd! That looks like a shrine!

Made this out of an old coat hanger when I first started wet shaving. I made it tall to except large brushes, and I use it after every shave. Pretty rickety but gets the job done.

Sand off the paint and it'll look much nicer!

I do like what you've done there...I clean my brushes the exact same way, then hang them upside down in one of those plastic brush holders. I cut just a bit of the small ends off two for the larger brushes and store the one's I'm not currently using in the sink cabinet. But to have them on the wall like that - just glance and decide which brush to use - awesome.

I am going to have to ask my wife if I can borrow her tool box.
